Football legend at open day

SCOTTISH FOOTBALLING legend Kenny Dalglish will be in Dundee on Saturday to kick off a football extravaganza.

The former Celtic, Liverpool and Scotland player will be appearing at Dundee United Sports Club’s open day at Monymusk Park playing field in Huntly Road.

The free McDonald’s football open day is aimed at all the family and will get under way at 9.30am.

Teams from the club’s under-nines to under-13s will be playing games.

There will also be a chance for those who turn up on the day to try their hand at coaching, practise skills on the inflatables and sign up to get involved with a local club.

“King Kenny”—who is McDonald’s head of Scottish football—will be casting a close eye over the local footy talent and will be on hand to offer tips and advice to the youngsters.
