A BROUGHTY Ferry woman has asked for The Courier’s help in tracing the owner of a cockatiel which appeared in her neighbour’s garden.
The bird was spotted in a tree in the Barnhill garden about 10 days ago and Shirley Blann gave it a temporary home alongside her own cockatiel until its owner could be found.
Despite efforts to trace the owner, the cockatiel is still sharing a cage with Shirley’s pet.
Shirley said, “I’ve put notices in various windows but no one has come forward yet.
“The cockatiel is yellow with red cheeks and there are another couple of distinguishing features which I’ll be able to use to verify that it’s the true owner who is collecting it.”
Anyone who is missing a cockatiel matching the description can get in touch with her on 01382 520513.
