A RATTRAY resident has been given an anti-social behaviour order following numerous reports of cacophonous, booze-fuelled parties.
Agnes Drummond, of Davie Park Place, has been banned from playing excessively-loud music.
She is also banned from threatening or intimidating locals after a sheriff ruled her behaviour had “seriously impacted on the lifestyle of residents.”
The interim ASBO was granted at Perth Sheriff Court following an application by Perth and Kinross Council, following an investigation into repeated claims of noisy parties being held at Drummond’s address.
It had also been alleged that Drummond subjected local residents to abuse and intimidation.
“The move (for an ASBO) was made by Perth and Kinross Council’s anti-social investigations team in conjunction with community safety partners after numerous complaints were received,” a local authority spokesman said.
“They alleged that Drummond, along with relatives and visitors to her address, were subjecting residents to various forms of anti-social behaviour including noisy parties and intimidation.”
The order prohibits Drummond from various types of offending and specifically includes the playing of excessively loud music and the use of threatening or intimidating behaviour against residents.
“Over a period of time the anti-social behaviour displayed by Drummond had seriously impacted on the lifestyle of residents,” the spokesman continued.
“Despite preventative measures instigated by the anti-social investigations team the behaviour continued, and therefore an ASBO was sought.
“The team will continue to work with and support Drummond in an effort to prevent any further offending.”
Residents of Perth and Kinross who are victims of anti-social behaviour can seek the help of the anti-social investigations team by calling the council’s 24-hour helpline on 01738 476173.
