St Andrews teen named world’s most beautiful

A ST ANDREWS teenager said last night she was still in a daze after being crowned the most beautiful in the world.

Emma McInnes (17) was named Miss Teen Galaxy International at a pageant in Florida.

The former Bell Baxter High School and Madras College pupil was up against teenagers from around the world in the six-day contest in Tampa.

Her victory was a double success for the UK, as Hayley Mac, from Essex, was crowned Miss Galaxy.

Moments after touching down in Edinburgh Airport last night Emma told The Courier, “We are still in a daze. We can’t believe it but I’m sure it will sink in soon.”

Emma won the UK heat in March, and winning the worldwide final has earned her a photoshoot for US magazine Supermodels Unlimited.

She also won trips to a mansion in the US and the Miss USA pageant in Las Vegas, as well as Juicy Couture accessories.

The fitness instructor is hoping it will also boost her modelling career.

But for now she intends to press on with the work she has been doing—her first job on home soil as a judge for last night’s Fife’s Got Talent competition.

She said, “I’ve been doing a lot of appearances and charity events and I’m going to continue doing that.

“I also want to continue campaigning against bullying and promoting fitness for kids.”

Emma’s beauty hasn’t always brought her fortune—she previously revealed she moved school because of bullying over her skin colour.
