Duffy strengthens squad

BRECHIN CITY manager Jim Duffy has agreed terms with defender Paul McLean and goalkeeper David Scott.

Ex-Falkirk defender McLean has agreed a two-year deal, with Scott returning to the club on a one-year deal having been on loan from Albion Rovers.

“We need a keeper to challenge Craig Nelson,” said Duffy.

“Craig is top class but he needs competition and David is a young keeper who feels he can push him.

“Paul is just turned 19 and has a lot of qualities.

“We needed another centre back and although Paul has been full-time with Falkirk he is keen to get a regular game.”

Davie White is at least a month off making a return to competitive training following his double leg break, David Murie has had a cartilage operation, Richard Walker has not played since a groin operation, Willie Dyer is recovering from a viral infection, Charlie King is not fully match fit and Ian Nimmo picked up an injury in the friendly against Inverurie.
