POLICE in Fife have confirmed that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the discovery of a woman’s body near West Wemyss beach on Monday morning.

Officers launched an investigation after a person spotted something in the water while out walking at around 11.45am.

The dead woman has been identified as 61-year-old Helen Rough, who lived in Balfour Street, Kirkcaldy.

Her vehicle was discovered by police at Dysart Harbour on Monday night.
