A NEW Homecoming Scotland 2009 edition of A Social History Of Blairgowrie And Rattray, researched, compiled and edited by Margaret Laing and her band of volunteers, is now on sale.

Blairgowrie, Rattray and District Local History Trust secretary Jean McIntyre said copies are £15 each and can be bought at the Book Shop, Allan Street; VisitScotland, Well-meadow; the Library, Leslie Street; and from any history trust member.

The trust held a very popular trail of historical displays throughout the town from July to September to coincide with Homecoming Scotland 2009. Mrs McIntyre thanked businesses which took part.
