29/01/15 DENS PARK - DUNDEE Dundee Manager Paul Hartley addresses the media as he looks ahead to the match against Hamilton on Saturday

On paper, there should only be one winner when Dundee play Hamilton at Dens tomorrow.

Accies may have started the season well but they have been defeated in their last four matches while the Dark Blues are on a five-game unbeaten run.

Hamilton also recently lost their inspirational manager Alex Neil to Norwich with Martin Canning stepping up into a player-manager role.

However, Dundee boss Paul Hartley is certainly taking nothing for granted tomorrow.

He said: “It’s a bit like us when we were on a bad run. We were eight without a win at one stage.

“Hamilton are a hard-working team with good quality. They’ve got key players who can hurt you.

“Martin Canning’s a young manager who has been thrown into the deep end a wee bit.

“I think Hamilton have still had an excellent season.

“It’s had an effect with the manager leaving and there’s been a lot of changes on the coaching side.

“That’s what has happened but they’re a very good team.

He added: “We’ve always had good battles against them. I expect the same again on Saturday.

“However, we want to keep our run going. We’re in good form and it’s been a pleasing month for us.

“The players have shown a great response since the derby game and it’s just a case of trying to continue that.

“Their attitude has been a key thing for us. It’s been first class to be fair.”

Hartley is continuing his attempts to add a couple of loan players during this window but he is still having to play a waiting game.

He said: “We’re trying to strengthen the squad but it’s not as simple as that.

“We’ve spoken to a couple of players to try and get them in but it’s down to other clubs as well.

“It will be two loans if we can get that done it might only be one but we’ll wait and see.”
