Player of the Year nomination for Dundee’s Greg Stewart
ByNeil Robertson
Dundee striker Greg Stewart’s incredible first season in top-flight football continues after he was named as one of the PFA Scotland’s Premiership Player of the Year nominees.
The 25-year-old has been a revelation since joining the Dark Blues last summer, becoming an integral player in Paul Hartley’s side and scoring 15 goals in all competitions.
The fact that he was playing part-time football last season for Cowdenbeath makes his progress all the more impressive.
Stewart faces stiff competition though if he hopes to clinch the POTY award with Aberdeen’s Adam Rooney, as well as Celtic’s Virgil Van Dijk and Stefan Johansen in the running.
