Brian Graham confident he can step up with Dundee United

Dundee United's new striker Brian Graham
confidently predicted he will “make the grade” in the SPL.

Graham (25) was snapped up from Raith Rovers on a two-year deal and paraded at Tannadice during half-time of United’s 4-0 defeat to Celtic on Sunday.

With Jon Daly heading out of the exit door for the final time on his way to Rangers, the Tangerines will be looking to their new 6ft 2in frontman to contribute at least some of the
aerial threat and goals that the Irishman provided over his time at Tannadice.

Graham, though, was quick to stress he is his own man rather than a straightforward Daly replacement.

“I am absolutely delighted that it is done and dusted and am now looking forward to the challenge,” said Graham, who found the net an impressive 27 times for Rovers in the
Division One campaign just finished.

“I believe in myself and my own ability so I am
coming here with high ambitions. I think I can do well for Dundee United and score plenty of goals for them.

“I am also confident that I can make the step-up to the SPL. As a young boy I wanted to play in the Scottish
Premier League and now I have the chance with United,” added Graham, who started out with
Morton.

“I had a few options but I am delighted amd happy to be here.”
