Dundee United have snapped up former Tottenham Hotspur pair Calum Butcher and Kudus Oyenuga.
Central defender Butcher, 22, has agreed a two-year deal, while striker Oyenuga has signed up until May 2016. Both were most recently plying their trade for English Conference side Hayes and Yeading.
Tannadice boss Jackie McNamara said: “Both players will be excellent additions to the squad.
“They have similar schooling having both come through the ranks at Tottenham together and they are young, hungry, excellent footballers with something to prove.
“We have now brought in eight new faces over the summer and I am excited by what we can achieve this coming season. Calum is an aggressive centre-half who is also comfortable with the ball at his feet.
“He is at the right age for us to continue his development and he is someone who I will look to see make an impact over the course of the season.
“Kudus will excite our fans. He is quick, direct and always looking to score goals. He also has excellent body strength for a 20-year-old and I can see him having an immediate impact at the club.”
After putting pen to paper, Butcher said: “This is a great opportunity for me. I know it is a step up in quality but that is what I am looking for at this stage of my career.”
Oyenuga said: “There are fantastic players here at Dundee United and I am absolutely buzzing to be part of the squad for the next three years.”
Welcoming the double signing, United chairman Stephen Thompson said: “Jackie continues to strengthen his squad and it excites me to see the potential and ability available to him now.”
