If St Johnstone progress to the second round of the Europa League qualifiers, their home and away fixtures may be reversed.
In the event that Red Star Belgrade (FK Crvena Zvezda) were to make it through, and so did their Serbian neighbours FK Cukaricki, then their fixture with the winner of the Saints and Alashkert tie would be switched from the previously scheduled home and away legs so Red Star played away in the first leg.
This is to ensure that the two clubs from Belgrade don’t play at home on the same night.
If Red Star Belgrade were to win their first round tie and FK Cukaricki were to lose, then Saints/Alashkert would play the first game away against the Serbians before the second leg in Scotland/Armenia.
A Uefa statement read: “In case of qualification of FK Crvena Zvezda (SRB) and FK Cukaricki (SRB) to the UEFA Europa League second qualifying round, Match 13 will be reversed and must be played as follows: Alashkert FC (ARM) or Saint Johnstone (SCO) vs FK Crvena Zvezda (SRB)”.
