The regeneration of Dundee’s waterfront is to feature at a major international conference.
City development director Mike Galloway will explain how Dundee was able to attract the £45 million V&A museum project and the role that culture will play in boosting the city’s profile.
He will also be explaining the physical developments taking place.
The Waterfront Expo next month will also hear how cities such as Barcelona, Marseille, Chicago and Yokohama have used their waterfronts to reinvent themselves and attract economic development, as have Edinburgh and conference host Glasgow.
Allan McQuade, director of business infrastructure at Scottish Enterprise, said: ”It’s an invaluable learning experience for city authorities and waterfront property professionals.
”For developers and investors seeking opportunities, the event will offer an excellent chance to network with existing investors and assess the potential of the three Scottish cities.”
The scheme will be the focus of a workshop featuring representatives of Unicorn Developments, Apex Hotels, Forth Energy, Scottish Enterprise and the city council.
