Bristol City's David James in action during their Npower Championship game at Ashton Gate
Former England goalkeeper David James has hailed the impact of Derek McInnes at Bristol City.
The former St Johnstone boss has masterminded an immediate turnaround in the fortunes of the Robins, claiming a win and a draw from three matches since moving to the Championship strugglers.
James believes the positivity of McInnes and assistant Tony Docherty is rubbing off on the players after previously enduring a run of ten games without a victory.
He said: ”He’s been very positive, aimed at getting results. It’s not just a focus on being happy after claiming three points he wants to tighten things up and improve overall.
”He’s changed personnel, and that’s not to criticise those who have missed out.
”The teams he has picked so far have been different too. He speaks clearly and is precise about what he wants us to do.”
