Braco Show organiser Mairi Paterson, Mike Melville of sponsors MAM Contracting, Stewart Miller of sponsors Stewarts Building Services, and show secretary Rosie Baxendine.
Braco Show, due to be held this Saturday in the show field adjacent to the Perthshire village, is the last agricultural show in Strathearn and it deserves full support, believes this year’s chairman of the organising committee Mairi Paterson.
Along with her husband Tom she farms Blackface sheep near Muthill.
However, in recent weeks her full attention has been on making sure this year’s show is a success.
“We have a few new classes this year including for the first time a champion of champions contest with a new cup ready to be awarded.
“Willie McLaren Sr will be judging and will have to pick his champion from the leaders in the horse, cattle, sheep and goat sections,” she said.
There will also be classes this year for Border Leicester sheep and pygmy goats and a demonstration of a traditional Swiss breed of sheep recently imported to Scotland.
