Tayside Young Fiddlers are releasing their first CD in 10 years and are going on tour to celebrate.
Music filled the air outside Broughty Ferry Library as the talented youngsters prepared to depart for a three-date Highland tour.
Elanor Leydecker, 10, said: “I’m looking forward to going on tour. I’m looking forward to the music and staying up late.”
Rachel Findlay, 17, said: “The tour will be great, we’ll spend the time learning new tunes and having fun.”
An impromptu concert took place while the children were waiting to leave, with members of the public treated to a selection of fiddle tunes in the afternoon sunshine.
The musical children are touring to promote their CD, recorded in Dundee.
This is their first tour as a group but the group go to camp every year.
Sixteen of the 25 members are on the road and they will play three shows, the first at the House of Bruar.
The other two shows will be at Cairngorm Hotel in Aviemore and the Duke of Gordon in Kingussie.
