East Neuk fire service back to full power after Anstruther crash
ByThe Courier Reporter
Full fire cover has been restored to the St Monans area after a fire engine crashed into a house in Anstruther last week.
Four firefighters were taken to hospital with minor injuries after the incident on December 5, but they were all discharged after treatment and the fire engine is now available again.
Councillor Elizabeth Riches said: “Safety was never compromised as extra crews could have been brought in from Anstruther and Methil but it is reassuring to know there is once more a dedicated fire engine in St Monans.”
