Clock counting down to Courier Business Awards deadline

Time is running out for companies to enter the 2015 Courier Business Award.

The deadline for entries for the prestigious awards scheme, which is once again being held in association with chartered accountants Henderson Loggie, closes in just two days.

But Friday night’s deadline still leaves you plenty of time to get your company involved.

The process is free and easy online at www.thecourierbusinessawards.com.

For the sake of a few minutes’ effort, your business could find itself hailed as a shining star of the commercial world in Courier Country.

There can be few better things for a business than being publicly recognised as a leader in their field.

But with hundreds of local business movers and shakers expected at our gala awards dinner, that is exactly what our winners can expect.

Entering The Courier Business Awards could prove the best decision your company makes this year.

The number of categories has been increased to 17 this year to reflect all sectors of the local economy.

We will also celebrate the corporate deal of the year, the best growth business, and the person who has made the most outstanding contribution to the local commercial scene.

Our Family Business of the Year category sponsor is solicitors Thorntons.

Joint managing partner Scott Milne urged firm to get involved.

“Not only is celebrating business success important for a company’s profile, but it is morale-boosting for employees to be recognised for their hard work and dedication, as without the staff there would be no business to celebrate,” Mr Milne said.

“We have such a vast range of businesses across different sectors in Courier Country and they should be recognised and celebrated for their input into our local economy.”

Grant Ritchie, who will take over as principal of category sponsor Dundee and Angus College in August, also said it was important that success was celebrated.

“The Courier Business Awards recognise the talent and skills that abound in this area,” said Mr Ritchie, who is currently depute principal.

“Dundee and Angus College delivers apprenticeship training across a vast array of industry disciplines, so it is highly appropriate that the college sponsors this new Apprentice of the Year award, promoting the importance of accredited training for businesses as they strive to succeed.”
