Fife Council has called for tenders to carry out drainage work that will prevent Haugh Park from flooding in future.
Work to help prevent a Cupar park from flooding could be about to take a step forward.
Fife Council has called for tenders to carry out drainage work at Haugh Park. The site floods frequently during heavy rain, a problem hindered further by the River Eden, which has burst its banks during severe downpours.
Last year the Victorian-era culvert under the park collapsed, leaving a gaping hole near a play area.
The culvert carried the Lady Burn under the park and, upon its collapse in December, required a thorough structural assessment to establish the extent of repairs.
