Cowdenbeath boss Colin Cameron is looking for a result which could spark their season back into life when they travel to Queen of the South.
A run of three straight defeats have caused the Blue Brazil to slip into ninth spot in the Championship and, with matches against teams around them in the bottom half coming up in the next three weeks, Cameron knows points from these games are a must if they are to avoid a long season at the wrong end of the table.
Victory could be just the tonic Cowden need to haul themselves up the standings, and it is something the player/boss is well aware of.
“Because of what happened against Dundee last week, it becomes a bigger game this week,” he said.
“You want to stop the defeats as soon as possible.
“I’ve said to the players that the one thing you can do, even if you are playing badly, is still work your backside off and if you continue to do that you’ll maybe get a wee bit rub of the green or a lucky goal or whatever.
“Then all of a sudden you start getting a wee bit more confident. Confidence will start coming back and it might mean the results will improve. But you are not going to get anything unless you work hard.
“Against Dundee, we did work hard but we were just lacking in a wee bit of confidence. Effort-wise again, it was all there and I didn’t think there was a lot between the teams.
“Dundee have got two good players up front who will cause anybody problems in this division. If we keep continuing to work hard and the ability that they have got comes through then we’ll start picking up wins, but it’s got to start this week.”
Midfielder Jamie Stevenson should be fit for the trip south, while keeper Thomas Flynn is widely expected to keep his place ahead of Grant Adam.
