Sir, – Amidst ever increasing council cutbacks it is well known that numerous drains in and around Dundee are blocked.
Sir, – May I be allowed, through your column, to address the organisers of the Enchanted Forest?
Sir, – After a week of being accused of being a racist, despite being an anti-racist and in the past an active anti-racist, The Courier’s Stefan Morkis added his two pennies’ worth in his Saturday Journal column, accusing me of “blithely” discussing racism when I should be “checking my privilege” (“Supporters have to be held to account for racist chants”, October 26).
Sir, – Michael Alexander’s article on the Science of Climate Change (The Courier, October 29) was a refreshingly sane view of a topic that too often breeds hysteria.
Sir, – I wish to comment on Alex Bell’s rather timid forecast ( “General election disaffection”, The Courier, October 24 ) of what a post-general election scenario is going to look like in the UK, although he gives little reference to Scotland.
Sir, – What shocking figures we’re seeing for the closing of High Street shops and the casting aside of shop assistants on to the scrapheap of unemployment (“New report showing 1,300 retail jobs lost in Tayside and Fife”, The Courier, October 25).
