Madam, – I read with interest the article on the decline of salmon in Scottish rivers and the impact on fishing tackle shops (“Fishing gear retailers hit by slump in salmon,” The Courier, May 27)
Madam, – Whilst walking around the nature trail of Camperdown with my dog, I was disappointed at the amount of detritus left behind, not just by dog walkers but others.
Madam, – At last an injection of commonsense in to the smacking debate.
Madam, – In reply to Victor Clements’ letter (Proportionate Response, May 27) I fear it simply represents the unsustainable short term sectional interests of the agricultural lobby.
Madam, – While we have been naturally focused on the UK and the outcome of the European Parliament elections here, across the EU the predicted surge of the Far Right in Hungary, Poland, France, Austria, Italy and the UK did not do as well as expected.
