It’s one hundred years since Woodrow Wilson set up the Grand Canyon as a national park. It is 277 miles long, up to 18 miles wide and attains a depth of over a mile (6,093 feet). Attracting around six million visitors each year.
The 12 day festival sees around 14,000 camels from sheikhs and tribesmen compete across the event with prizes of daggers, swords, rifles, luxury vehicles as well as cash. Spectators can travel thousand of miles for this important highlight of season event.
