The full terms and conditions for the Evening Telegraph’s Brighten up your 2022 competition with Hays Travel and Jet2holidays are set out below.
1. This competition is open only to residents within the Evening Telegraph circulation area and participants must be 18 years or over excluding employees, immediate families and agents of DC Thomson Group and its subsidiaries, Hays Travel and Jet2holidays.
2. To enter the competition entrants must collect 6 letters that will spell out the winning word and send the letters in to us at ET Brighten up your 2022, 2 Albert Square, Dundee, DD1 1DD before the closing date of Friday January 28 at 5pm.
3. Multiple correct entries are permitted.
4. Evening Telegraph accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete, or those that cannot be delivered for any technical or other reason.
5. The competition will run in paper from Monday January 17 until Saturday January 22 2022.
6. A winner will be randomly selected from all correct entries at the end of the competition period and will be notified via the contact details provided.
7. If the winner does not respond within 10 days, the Evening Telegraph reserves the right to choose another winner at random to receive the prize.
8. The prize is a trip for two adults and two children – up to 9 years old (supplement payable for children above this age) for 7 nights to Albufeira, staying in a one-bedroom apartment at the 4* Eden Resort, Albufeira, Portugal, plus a three day pass for 4 to the Zoomarine Theme Park. Winner must be available to travel on Wednesday October 5 returning Wednesday October 12, 2022. The prize includes the following elements:
i. Return transfers to Edinburgh Airport leaving from Dundee
ii. Return flights from Edinburgh Airport Including 22kg hold baggage and 10kg hand luggage each
iii. Return private transfers for the family – Airport to Hotel
iv. 7x nights All Inclusive Plus accommodation in a one-bedroom apartment
v. 4 three day passes to the Zoomarine Theme Park – transport included
vi. £500 spending money which will be supplied in Euros
9. The winner and their chosen guests are responsible for making sure they are adequately insured and have valid passports with at least six months validity from the proposed date of return, visas if required and all health or other Government requirements prior to departure.
10. All travel is subject to the airline’s standard terms and conditions. Once the booking is confirmed changes to the names, date or nature of the booking are not permitted.
11. Once flight tickets have been issued, the Evening Telegraph shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations caused by (but not limited to) weather conditions, political unrest, or any other circumstances beyond the control of the Evening Telegraph, travel companies or third party responsible for any element of the prize as set out.
12. All expenses not explicitly set out in these terms and conditions will be the responsibility of the winner and their guest.
13. The prize is strictly non-transferable and non-refundable, and no exchanges will be given. Prize cannot be combined with any other offer, promotion or discount. The Prize is redeemable only by the named winner and must not be sold onto any other party.
14. The Evening Telegraph, Hays Travel and Jet2Holidays reserves the right to provide an alternative prize of equal or greater value in the event of unforeseen circumstances. No compensation is payable in the event the winner is unable to use the prize.
15. The name of the prize winner will be available for a period of two months from the draw date by emailing comps@eveningtelegraph.co.uk.
16. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions – entries not in accordance with these terms and conditions will not be valid.
17. The entrant agrees to cooperate in any publicity arising, which may include their name being used online or in print as a result of the competition. If a winner does not want to participate in publicity, they should inform the Evening Telegraph when accepting their prize.
18. The Evening Telegraph reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the promotion.
19. The editor’s decision in all matters is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
