Boardroom reshuffle for Cupar laundry and textile company Fishers Services

Fife commercial laundry and textiles firm Fishers Services has reshuffled its boardroom pack.

The Cupar firm which operates from seven sites across Scotland and the north of England announced that group finance director Scott Inglis has been appointed as the firm’s new commercial director.

The key role has been vacant since Tennant Hilditch resigned earlier in the year.

The new incumbent joined Fishers in 2012 and played a lead role in the firm’s subsequent refinancing.

Mr Inglis’ role will be taken on by financial controller Lucy Renaut, who has also been with the business since 2012 having previously served as finance manager with May Gurney.

Fishers is one of the leading commercial laundries in the UK with a client base that includes major hotel chains such as Premier Inn, Travelodge, Accor and Jury’s.

The company, which has been operating since 1900 and which launders more than two million items every week, also services the Malmaison and Hotel Du Vin boutiques and top-end properties such as the Caledonian Waldorf Astoria in Edinburgh.

Group managing director Michael Jones said the appointments would serve the firm well.

“After a landmark year for the hospitality industry in Scotland, Fishers is set to build on its position as Scotland’s largest commercial laundry and textile business,” Mr Jones said.

“Scott’s experience of the group’s operations puts him in a strong position to take on the commercial role and Lucy’s deep understanding of the company’s finances makes her the ideal appointment as finance director.”
