A fast-growing software company in Dunfermline has just been awarded a £250,000 grant by Scottish Enterprise.
Level Four Software confirmed it had received a regional selective assistance (RSA) grant.
The company develops software that automatically tests cash machines for a number of the world’s leading banks.
The Scottish Enterprise investment will help boost the company’s workforce from 23 to 41 over the next three years.
Level Four is already on the lookout for graduates and experienced professionals to fill a range of positions in the company.
They include software developers, computer programmers, sales staff and technical writers.
Paul Gardiner, the firm’s head of operations, said, “Central Scotland has a history of being at the forefront of technology and innovation.
“It’s an excellent hub with good connections.
“The close proximity of local universities means there is an ever-evolving breadth and depth of talent on our doorstep.
“The funding from Scottish Enterprise will help us harness this talent and capitalise on the unique strengths of the region.
“It will not only support our growth, but will also secure our future here and help the development of businesses in the wider region.”
Lena Wilson, chief executive, Scottish Enterprise, said, “It’s our role to encourage both Scottish and foreign companies to invest in Scotland and RSA is one of the key tools we use to do this.
“I am very pleased to see the role that RSA has played in helping Level Four Software create new jobs in Fife.
“It provides an economic boost for the region and is further testament to Scotland’s ever-growing reputation and capabilities in the financial services sector.”
The company also plans to invest in a range of IT improvements at its Dunfermline headquarters by teaming up with other businesses in the area.
