The 2015 Courier Business Awards.

Achievement across all parts of the economy is set to be recognised at the 2016 Courier Business Awards.

A total of 18 awards will be available at The Courier’s fourth annual celebration of the top firms of east central Scotland.

Companies and individuals have until July 1 to put their entries forward for this year’s awards.

The black-tie event, which is being held in association with chartered accountants Henderson Loggie, will take place in a custom-built marquee at the Apex City Quay Hotel in Dundee on Saturday, October 29.

The entry process for companies is simplicity itself – just visit www.thecourierbusinessawards.com and fill in the relevant category entry form.

Businesses are welcome to enter more than one category.

Apprentice of the Year, sponsored by Dundee and Angus College, is designed to shine a spotlight on new talent coming through.

“D&A College delivers apprenticeship training across a vast array of industry disciplines so it is highly appropriate that, once again, the college sponsors the Apprentice of the Year award,” principal Grant Ritchie said.

“The Courier Business Awards recognise the talent and skills that abound in this area and promotes the importance of accredited training for businesses as they strive to succeed.”

Hillcrest Group of Companies is sponsor of the small business category.

Chief executive Angela Linton said it was exciting to discovering and celebrate new business ventures.

“A pat on the back for employers and employees is always a good thing and sometimes something we forget or don’t find the time to do,” she said.

“Celebrating business success can really motivate a work force and encourage them to achieve even more.”
