Get your skates on to meet Courier Business Awards deadline

Time to get your skates on.

The entry deadline for The Courier Business Awards has been extended but firms that want to participate in the 2016 scheme only have a limited period in which to get their submissions in.

Entries will now close for a final time on Friday, July 15.

To have a chance of winning one of the most prestigious awards available to businesses operating in east central Scotland, all you need to do is visit www.thecourierbusinessawards.com, choose the categories that suit your company and answer the relevant questions.

Entry is free and should only take a matter of minutes to complete.

The Hillcrest Group of Companies is a former Courier Business Awards winner and is sponsoring the Small Business category for 2016.

Chief executive Angela Linton urged local firms to get involved.

She said: “A pat on the back for employers and employees is always a good thing and sometimes something we forget or don’t find the time to do.

“Celebrating business success can really motivate a work force and encourage them to achieve even more.”

Ian MacDonald, head of office at Brewin Dolphin, Dundee, said his firm had been helping business owners and entrepreneurs in the region to grow their interests since 1841.

As a new sponsor, Mr MacDonald said he looked forward to presenting the 2016 Services Business award.

“Investing in the relationship may sound an old-fashioned approach to business, but for us it has never gone out of fashion,” he said.

“We look forward to presenting this award to the company that puts service excellence at the core of their business proposition.”

The awards will take place at Dundee’s Apex City Quay Hotel on October 29.
