A Dundee pub has undergone a six-figure transformation ahead of opening its doors this week.
The Paddock, which announced its plans in March, has moved into the former Medina Bar and Grill on Nethergate.
Co-owners Jimmy Fyffe and Scott Townshend say the new venue will bring a touch of “country chic” to the city centre.
The pair, who also own racehorses together, have paid tribute to their passion throughout the venue.
Speaking to The Courier, Scott, 36, said they were excited to open in what they see as a “great location” as they officially launched on Friday.

He said: “This has been about three months of work, and it was always our intention to get this open ahead of the Dundee Music Festival.
“The theme of the bar is country chic – outdoorsy, fresh, and modern.
“We own racehorses together, and there’s a horse theme throughout.
“There’s been a six-figure overhaul since we got the keys – we’re delighted with how it’s looking.
“We had a soft launch on Thursday night and I think people were shocked by the extent of the transformation.
“Folk were especially enjoying the new quirky cocktails.”

As well as expanding the dining space, the venue now features new interactive dartboards, an acoustic performance area, and fully renovated toilet facilities.
Scott added that the project has also created around 25 new jobs.
“Our social dart lanes are already fully booked for tonight we’re doing drinks and food packages with them,” he said.
“We opened at midday on Friday, but moving forward we’ll be open from 9am for breakfast.
“We’re doing gastro pub food, tipsy tapas, and boozy brunches.
“We knew we were trying to create something a bit special, a bit different for Dundee and I think we have achieved that.
“This is a great location and we can’t wait to welcome people in.”
Jimmy and Scott previously carried out an extensive renovation of Sandy’s Bar in Lochee.
