A Dundee craft beer shop has announced it will shut due to “rising costs and quieter trading days”.
Discovery Beers on Nethergate will close on Friday July 11.
Sam McMahon unveiled the business in 2023 due to a lack of craft beer shops in the city.
The shop sold beers from around the world and customers also had the option to sit in.
Discovery Beers ‘no longer sustainable’
A post on Facebook said: “After much reflection, we’re incredibly sad to share that Discovery Beers will be closing its doors for the final time on Friday, July 11th.
“Like many small independent businesses, we’ve been feeling the impact of rising costs and quieter trading days, and it’s become clear that continuing is no longer sustainable.
“We want to say the biggest thank you to everyone who’s supported us over the past two and a half years.
“Whether you’re a regular, popped in for a quick drink, joined us for a tasting, or simply recommended us to a friend.
“Your custom and support have meant the world to us.
“From now until July 11th, we’ll be discounting all remaining stock to help clear the shelves, so there’s still time to swing by for a final cheers and grab some beer at a discount price.
“Thank you again for being part of the journey. It’s been a joy to be Dundee’s craft beer shop.”

“Always great beers and a lovely place to sit in.
“Fantastic staff team and wish you all the best in your next venture.”
