We know they are out there, but for those of us who have never witnessed the River Tay dolphins up close they can still seem almost mythical.
Do these exotic creatures really choose the Tay for their frolics?
The answer is yes: and, as this newly-released drone video shows, they appear to be loving life in the Silv’ry.
The footage was shot by drone enthusiast Martin Groves over the summer of 2015 — and is sure to whet the appetite of wildlife watchers as peak dolphin-spotting season returns.
And any concerns that the drone might disturb the creatures would appear unfounded — the never-seen-before angles from above suggest the dolphins are fascinated by the device and are more than happy to put on a show.
