Scotland’s largest independent dairy company has landed a contract to supply a range of yoghurts to Aldi.

Graham’s The Family Dairy, which is based at Bridge of Allan but also has factories in Nairn and Fife, will supply four different low-fat yoghurts to Aldi under the McCallums brand.

The yoghurts are produced at the company’s Nairn factory which recently received an estimated £1million investment in specialist production facilities.
Both Graham’s and Aldi declined to reveal the exact value of the contract but said it was worth a six-figure sum.

Graham’s managing director, Robert Graham, said: “We have a strong relationship with Aldi and are pleased to provide our yoghurt for their own-label range, which we’re confident consumers will enjoy. Aldi share our commitment to high-quality, great tasting products with genuine local provenance and this deal is not only positive for our businesses, it also benefits the Scottish dairy sector generally. We look forward to working even more closely with Aldi in future.”

Aldi’s managing director in Scotland, Richard Holloway, said: “We’re proud supporters of Scotland’s dairy farmers and have stocked 100% Scottish milk, cream and block butter in our Scottish stores for over a decade.

“Graham’s has been a long-standing supplier and this new range of own-label yogurts, made in Scotland from Scottish milk, is expected to prove hugely popular with Aldi shoppers.”
