The Scottish Business Resilience Centre will hold a webinar focused on Dundee tomorrow.

With links to the police and fire services, the non-profit organisation has a range of resilience services it can offer businesses.

The online event starts at 10am and the line up of speakers includes Dundee City Council leader John Alexander, Waracle chief executive Chris Martin, Brightsolid CEO Elaine Maddison, Natalie Coull, the head of cyber security at Abertay University and Lesley Larg, an IP expert at Thorntons.

Jude McCorry, chief executive of the Scottish Business Resilience Centre, said: “As an organisation we are trying to bring businesses together from all over Scotland, encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing that will help us all adjust to our new circumstances.

“We are delighted to bring together a group of Dundee businesses and organisations to highlight what is going on in the city around Covid-19.

“In spite of what is a new reality for all of us, it is so encouraging to see how the business community in Dundee is coming together and supporting each other.

“Our webinar will focus on how businesses in Dundee are coping during the pandemic and give advice on what they should be doing to prepare themselves for business resumption.”

The event will last for just over an hour and also feature Abertay University ethical hacker Declan Doyle and Paul Atkinson Par Equity.

Mr Alexander added: “Businesses in Dundee are the lifeblood of the city and how we support them and plan for a post-Covid-19 future will be key to the entire population.

“The success of businesses going forward is the difference between people being able to put a hot meal on the table or not.

“We need to support people in employment and create the opportunities for new jobs going forward so a clear strategy will be vital.”
