
Two Dundee-based tech companies have made the shortlist of three Scottish start-ups that will compete for a prize worth £60,000.
City-based firms CyberShell and Social Good Connect will pitch in front of 1,000 attendees at Startup Summit later this month.
CyberShell is a digital platform that provides solutions to ensure security for the software industry while social enterprise Social Good Connect is a platform that connects workers with volunteering opportunities. The other finalist is Glasgow-based Frog Systems.
The winner will receive a business support prize package worth over £60,000, including a fully funded spot on FutureX’s Silicon Valley Scale programme.
The Silicon Valley Scale programme takes a select group of rising UK tech leaders to Silicon Valley.
There, they have the opportunity to connect with leading global players in the tech industry and pitch to potential investors.
Previous cohorts have met with executives from Airbnb, Facebook, SurveyMonkey, RocketSpace, Y Combinator, Waze, and Threshold.
