The Dunfermline office of surveying firm Hardies has completed work on the £200 million Trump Turnberry golf resort on the Ayrshire coast.

Hardies previously worked on the Trump Organization’s golf development on the Menie Estate north of Aberdeen.

The major refurbishment project was officially opened by US presidential hopeful Donald J. Trump when he visited the five star Turnberry resort last month.

The Dunfermline office of Hardies Property & Construction Consultants said the project, “to make Trump Turnberry the best Hotel in the UK, later Europe, in just 32 weeks” as one of its most challenging but rewarding to date.

The firm is hoping it will work with the Trump Organization again in the near future.

Danny McArthur, who oversaw the work, said: “Hardies is very proud to mark its ten year relationship with The Trump Organization by completing Trump Turnberry.

“We refurbished the entire building inside and out, and the results are truly stunning.

“The Trump Organization set the standard globally when it comes to quality. Managing this project to the level of finish required in the short timescales given was a major challenge and we are delighted to have pulled it off.”

Hardies provided a full service, from project management to full clerk of works cover.

“Nothing has been left untouched, “ he said. “All 103 bedrooms, all uniquely styled, have been refurbished, including all corridors, all front and back of house areas and even the forty eight housekeeping cupboards.”

”Every window in the hotel has been replaced, along with all render, and all dormer roofs which have been renewed.”

Eric Trump, executive vice-president of development and acquisitions, said: “It was a great pleasure working with Hardies.

“They are a great company who played a pivotal role in the incredible renovation of Trump Turnberry”

Hardies employs over 100 members of staff in its 14 offices across Scotland.
