EQ Accountants, which operates in Tayside and Fife, has almost doubled its revenue over the last five years.
The limited liability partnership, which has branches in Forfar, Dundee, Cupar and Glenrothes, recorded revenues of £7.5 million for the year ending March 31.
Five years ago the firm’s turnover was £3.8m and it employed 70 staff. EQ now has 130 staff.
Managing partner David Cameron said a proportion of the growth can be attributed to the acquisition of the Fife offices in 2016. The firm has also seen organic growth of 20% over the last three years.
He said: “We have achieved this growth simply by doing valued work for our clients and, as a result, winning more business.
“We are specialists when it comes to helping clients achieve their business and personal goals and we pride ourselves not only on dealing with the compliance side but excelling in complementary services which really add value.”
EQ said it is firmly established as one of the country’s leading R&D tax credit experts and has built on this work with a large number of tax advisory assignments demonstrating its skills in a complex legislative environment.
This success has led EQ to the creation of several specialist teams and a new tax-only website.
David Morrison, head of EQ taxation, added: “It’s a very exciting time for the firm and we have a highly talented and qualified workforce that is ready to help you and your business with any tax problem.”
