The host of the Courier Business Conference says now is the ideal time to hold the event “while all eyes are on Dundee”.
The one-day conference, held in association with chartered accountants MHA Henderson Loggie, will bring together some of the country’s most influential business and economic leaders to help inspire Courier Country to even greater success.
The event takes place at Space, the multi-million pound performance venue at Dundee & Angus College’s Kingsway campus.
D&A College’s principal Grant Ritchie, who will host the event on June 18, said “it’s essential to focus on business development.”
He said: “All eyes are quite rightly on Dundee at the moment and the cultural regeneration of the city is certainly holding people’s attention.
“We can use this as a springboard to showcase the business opportunities on offer in the area.
“To do this, it is critical that we attract people to Dundee and both the college and the Courier Business Conference has a crucial role to play in this.”

The principal said the college had adapted its curriculum to deliver employees and entrepreneurs for the 21st century.
He said the days of simply “training technicians” with core skills had long gone.
He added: “Employers are looking for staff who are flexible and can adapt to changing needs and we work with students to also develop soft skills, interpersonal skills and all the attributes that will make people successful in both their work and personal lives.”
Built in 2002, at a cost of £5 million, Space is a multi-purpose performance, training and conference venue which is home to the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance.
Mr Ritchie said: “This is an up-and-coming venue that is ideally suited to the business conference in terms of size and facilities.
“As well as the main auditorium, it also has a number of break-out rooms and benefits from extensive car parking and excellent catering facilities.
“It is also set in fantastic surroundings and we have had some extremely good feedback from users who enjoy being at the venue.”
The Courier Business Conference features sessions by Scotland’s foremost digital entrepreneur, Chris van der Kuyl, and Scottish Enterprise chief executive Steve Dunlop.
There will be a session on how to maximise marketing impact and examples of successful local companies with a growth mindset.
The conference will also hear from motivational speaker and company turnaround specialist Nigel Risner, who has travelled the globe in his quest to improve outcomes for people and businesses.
