The managing director of Arbroath-based contact centre Journeycall has been promoted to lead the firm’s parent company, the ESP Group.
Theresa Slevin will take over from ESP’s current chief executive Terry Dunn tomorrow.
Journeycall is one of the largest private sector employers in Angus, with almost 400 staff at the premises in Arbroath.
The company’s customers include National Railcards, Transport for London as well as several local authorities.
The ESP Group also includes Systex, Europe’s largest independent smartcard issuer, with clients including the Department for Transport and National Rail.
Ms Slevin will apply her transport and customer service expertise accumulated throughout her career to lead the strategy for ESP Group’s future growth and continued commercial profitability.
Mr Dunn, who remains owner of the company, is stepping away from the operational side of the business to focus on the strategic future of the ESP Group, and will assume the role of executive chairman.
Ms Slevin said: “My journey with the ESP Group has been fantastic and this is an exciting time for both myself and for our company in this industry.
“Travel options are continually changing as a result of innovation and uncertain economic and political climates, so it’s important that our future initiatives can adapt to evolving circumstances while enhancing the customer’s experience.
“We are continually innovating and looking at how we can sustain our position as the supplier of choice to our current and potential clients alike and I am excited about leading the company through its next steps.”
