University students in Dundee will be required to sit their exams and hand in assignments online.
Systems are being put in place to allow students to be assessed online at Dundee and Abertay Universities.
The May art degree show at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design has been cancelled and there is no decision on whether graduation ceremonies will take place.
St Andrews University has not yet confirmed exam and assessment arrangements but said these were being developed and there would be an announcement soon.
A spokeswoman from Dundee and Angus College said SQA exams were cancelled but they would continue to deliver teaching online.
Perth College said exams will take place with “as little disruption as possible” and they are working to deliver as much as they can online.
A spokeswoman said: “These are unprecedented times, but we’re planning carefully to ensure students can continue their studies, including examination arrangements, with as little disruption as possible.”
Meanwhile the University and College Union has had to postpone a ballot on further industrial action, which would be in addition to a 14-day strike that took place in February.
