Travelling around Dundee or to Edinburgh Airport is easier than ever, thanks to Xplore Dundee.

The bus company is going above and beyond to offer customers a service that suits them, including card payments on board and links to the capital’s airport for holidaymakers and travellers.

The Edinburgh Airport Xpress runs every 90 minutes, seven days a week, using luxury coaches to ensure comfortable seating and plenty of room for luggage.

Managing Director Christine McGlasson said: “We’re pleased with the response to this new route so far – bookings have come in thick and fast since we announced it.

“We believe this will be a real boost for Dundee, helping local people get to and from their holiday destinations or business meetings, as well as providing easy access for visitors to Scotland into our great city.”

And if you don’t have the right change, don’t worry, all of Xplore Dundee’s buses are equipped for contactless card payments.

The new contactless payment option is all thanks to a high-tech upgrade by Xplore Dundee, during which a faster and more secure state-of-the-art Ticketer system was installed on all buses.

The bus company has switched on the contactless facility, so customers around the city can pay for tickets quickly and easily using a bank or credit card.

Anyone not able to pay contactless can rest assured that cash, smart tickets, NEC and concession cards will still be accepted on all Xplore Dundee buses. There’s also the mTicket app which offers the best value on Day, Weekly and Student passes.

Timetables, fares and more information available at the Xplore Dundee website, and Airport Xpress info can be found on the Xplore More website. Queries can also be made by visiting the Travel Centre on Commercial Street, or calling 01382 340006.
