From messy art classes to muddy bike trails, sporty summer camps to animal encounters, you will find a brilliant list of classes, activities and outdoor adventures guaranteed to keep them smiling – and you sane – all summer long.
Think full-day camps where you can drop-and-go, free and budget-friendly ideas for quality family time, and heaps of inspiration to help you fill the hours and make the most of these precious summer days.

Offering lots of variety, the activities featured are a fun-packed blend of nature, creativity, physical activity and quiet reading, ensuring there’s something to suit every child. Ranging in price from free and low-cost events such as parks and libraries, to curated, week-long experiences, means that no one will be missed out or left behind.
Walks in and around Perth and Kinross
Loch Faskally Circular: An easy 5km loop around Loch Faskally which is wooded, relatively flat, with salmon ladder views. Ideal for young legs and partly buggy accessible.
Bruar Gorge & Falls of Bruar: A 2.6km moderate trail to waterfalls with viewing platforms and a nature garden making it engaging and scenic.
The Birks of Aberfeldy: A 3.5km through Moness Gorge with waterfalls and an iconic literary connection in Rabbie Burns. Includes some steeper paths.
Kinnoull Hill & Deuchny Wood: 4-6 km woodland loops near Perth, with hilltop views over the Tay offering a great mix of gentle slopes and adventure.
Loch Leven Heritage Trail: A mostly flat 21km circuit, but shorter sections near Kirkgate Park are ideal for wee ones and have a playground, wildlife hides, toilets, and picnic tables.

Kirkgate Park (Kinross): Playground, lawns, lakeside beach, easy access to Loch Leven Heritage Trail.
MacRosty Park (Crieff): Large playground, Victorian bandstand, and cafe – plus access to riverside paths.
North & South Inch (Perth): Expansive riverside parks with paths, open spaces, sports facilities, and picnic spots.
Kinnoull Hill Woodland Park: Scenic forest trails, hilltop views, and child-interest features like sculpture trails.
Auchterarder Public Park: Upgraded play destination with equipment for a wide age range and creative sandpit play.
