Billed as being incomparable and unlike any circus you’ve seen before, the Chinese State Circus lives up to its reputation with its most exhilarating show in its 25-year history.

Returning to wow Dundee audiences next week, the all new breathtaking show Dynasty, is back in Tayside as part of its Scotland Summer Tour.

Bringing its signature awe-inspiring feats to Dundee, the show will contain some of the extraordinary feats audiences have come to know and love, plus some exciting new and innovative acts.

Showcasing traditional tricks and techniques that are more than 2,000 years old, the performers bring them alive for the 21st Century.

The circus aims to juxtapose the simple and the impossible with its amazing acrobatics, jaw-dropping juggling and bizarre balancing acts.

There will certainly be no shortage of spectacles and the show promises to be nothing short of incredible, from beginning to end..

To add to the already action-packed show, the best in Chinese acrobatics will be joined by the legendary Shaolin Monks who will perform their renowned super-human physical feats.

Jack Grocott , a spokesman for Chinese State Circus, explains: “For Dynasty we have decided to take the show back to its very roots – to revert almost entirely to the essence of Chinese circus art.”

So how is the 25-year-old show kept new and exciting for today’s audiences?

“We tour the show with a new troupe every year. For each new tour we choose a troupe who we believe will dazzle audiences nationwide and deliver the show at a level which most people have never seen before,”. Jack explains.

Audiences in Dundee can look forward to some exciting new acts within the show such as an award-winning bicycle act which consists of eight girls riding bikes around the ring while performing incredible acrobatics.

Additionally, the show will include a Bulgarian guest act called Duo Extreme, who will perform mesmerising aerial acrobatics with stunts involving fire and water.

To accompany the awesome feats that audiences will witness, an equally dramatic musical score will be played alongside thrilling Chinese percussion, adding up to a memorable show all the family will enjoy.

We have 15 family tickets (two adults and up to three children aged 2-12) to give away for the performance of their choice.

To be in with a chance of winning, simply email your name, address and postcode, plus telephone number, with Circus in the subject line, to clindsay@thecourier.co.uk by 10am on Monday July 31.
