The clock is ticking. The sand is slipping through the hourglass. But there’s still time to get yourself down to the Birnam Arts Centre on Sunday for a live history experience currently touring the UK.
Circa, which comes from Jasmine Bowen’s theatre company based in Ottawa, Canada, uses multiple characters from the arts centre’s and Birnam and Dunkeld’s long-history.
The aim is to present the audience wiith a world that has completely come to life around them, and are set against a ticking clock to try and solve an historical mystery that’s relevant to the area’s history and venue in order to escape the venue.
The actors and audience interact throughout the show and stand within reach of each other at all times, making for an immersive experience that makes the audience feel as though they’ve stepped back in time.
With four performance times to choose from, the show will be completely unique to this venue.
