The Jaguar XJ, Porsche 944 and MG Metro are three classic bargains.
Heritage Classic Car Insurance has picked three models that can be bought for under £5,000.
In the 1990s, Jaguar’s indulgent XJ6 was the height of luxury but the large saloon has fallen out of favour and these 90s masterpieces are current bargains for under £5,000 with low mileage. The Porsche 944 was a step up from the 924 with a 2.5 litre engine that saw power boosted from 165 to 190bhp late in its production run. Meanwhile, the 80s saw the birth of the hot hatch. MG were famous for roadsters and coupes but moved with the times, producing the MG Metro. Decent examples of all three can be had for under £5,000 – and they should only go up in value.
