A man found dead on a road in Perthshire, prompting a major police investigation, has been named locally.
Tributes have been paid to Stephen Speedie, 29, who was found on a rural road between Dunning and Path of Condie on Friday morning.
Two men have been charged in connection with the death, and police have been carrying out an extensive investigation at locations including a house in Blackford.
An online fundraising page has since been launched by Mr Speedie’s stepdad, Dougie Bryce, to raise funds for his funeral.
On the Gofundme page, he wrote: “Our son Stephen Speedie sadly passed away suddenly on Friday June 13.
“The funds will be used for funeral costs and to give him the best send off and would help us massively.
“Stephen sadly leaves behind his beautiful two-year-old daughter, who he adored dearly.”
Meanwhile, a Facebook group has also been set up in Mr Speedie’s memory, where tributes have been paid.
The group describes Mr Speedie as being the “dad of a beautiful daughter” as well as a “brother, son and cousin”.
It adds: “We all loved him and he will be missed so much by so many people.”
One person wrote on the group: “Such a great guy, always for a laugh.

“(I) had a lot of time for Speedie (and) never had a bad word to say (about him).
“My thoughts are with you and your family. RIP Speedie. Gone but never forgotten.”
Others told of their shock at his death.
One person said: “You really were the life and soul of any room you walked into.
“You’ll be missed by many.”
Another posted: “You were always the life of the party and always knew how to cheer people up.”
One other member of the group paid tribute, saying: “Heaven has gained a brilliant guy and a lovely guy.”

Two men are expected to appear in Perth Sheriff Court on Monday in connection with Mr Speedie’s death.
Police remain at the house in Blackford as their probe continues.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7am on Friday, we were called to the death of a 29-year-old man on the Dunning to Kinross road in Perthshire.
“Two men, aged 36 and 42, were arrested and charged in connection with the death.
“They are due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on Monday.
“A 40-year-old woman was also arrested and has been released pending further investigation.
“Inquiries remain ongoing.”
