Scottish indie icons Franz Ferdinand are set to play in Dundee next year.

The Glasgow band will perform at LiveHouse on February 24 2026.

Franz Ferdinand shot to fame in 2004 with their debut album, which included hits like Take Me Out.

They have since released five more studio albums, including The Human Fear earlier this year.

Tickets to the gig will be available on presale via the Gigs in Scotland website on Thursday, before a general sale at 10am on Friday.

The booking comes as a boost to Dundee’s newest concert venue, which opened its doors last month with a performance from actor turned DJ Craig Charles.

The venue also held the closing party of Dundee Dance Event last month and is set to host chart-topping singer Yungblud this summer, along with Idlewild in December.

LiveHouse operator Gus Robb said: “Franz Ferdinand are one of Scotland’s most iconic indie bands and we are delighted they have chosen to play LiveHouse.

“Coming so soon after the Yungblud announcement, this is a huge endorsement for the venue.”

The former Mecca Bingo site turned concert venue will eventually boast a capacity of 4,500 concert-goers, which will make it Scotland’s third-largest entertainment venue.
