Police have confirmed they are treating the death of a Perth dad as murder.
The body of Stephen Speedie, 29, was found on a road between Dunning and Kinross at around 7am on Friday.
Following a post-mortem, officers have now confirmed they believe Mr Speedie, from Perth, was murdered.
Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with Mr Speedie’s death.
The men, aged 36 and 42, are expected to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on Monday.
A 40-year-old woman was also arrested and has been released pending further investigation.
Police activity at Perth hotel in murder probe
Activity has been taking place at the Mercure Hotel in Perth in connection with the investigation.
Locals have told of seeing officers coming and going from the West Mill Street hotel over the weekend.
Police have also been carrying out an investigation at a house in Blackford as part of the probe.
The Courier reported earlier how tributes have been paid online to Mr Speedie, who had a young daughter, and a Gofundme page has been set up to raise money for his funeral.
Carron McKellar, detective chief inspector, said: “Our thoughts are with Stephen’s family and friends at what is an extremely difficult time.
“Officers are offering support and keeping them updated with the progress of our investigation.
“I understand this incident will be concerning for the local community.
“However, I’d like to reassure them, we believe this was an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to the public.
“Additional officers remain in the area and anyone with concerns or information can approach them or call 101.”
