Police were called to the university’s main library on Perth Road just after 7pm on Friday. One witness claimed a man “became aggressive” before the security guard, a 35-year-old man, was attacked. The extent of his injuries has not been confirmed. Police ‘following positive line of inquiry’ after Dundee University attack A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At 7.10pm on Friday, we received a report of an assault on a member of staff at a premises on Perth Road. “A 35-year-old man was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment. “Officers are following a positive line of inquiry.” A spokesperson for Dundee University said police were investigating the library attack.
