Image: Google Street View A man has been charged with a sexual offence after police were called to a “protest” in Lochgelly. Officers responded to a report of a crowd gathered on the town’s Main Street on Tuesday evening. A video posted on social media showed a group shouting from the road outside a building. Man charged and Lochgelly crowd dispersed A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.50pm on Tuesday, we received a report of a crowd gathered outside a property in the area of Lochgelly. “Officers attended and the crowd dispersed around 7pm.” The force also confirmed a man had been arrested. A spokesperson said: “A 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a sexual offence in Lochgelly. “He is due to appear in court at a later date.”
