Diversion through Perth city centre during overnight Friarton Bridge closures

Drivers will be diverted through Perth city centre during upcoming overnight closures of the M90 Friarton Bridge.

Work is taking place to install a new traffic monitoring system between Wednesday June 25 and Monday June 30.

Closures will be in place for three nights to ensure the safety of road workers and motorists.

Overnight closures on M90 Friarton Bridge

The bridge will be closed to northbound traffic at Junction 10 from 7.30pm on Friday June 27 until 6.30am the next morning.

A diversion will be in place via Broxden Roundabout, A93 Glasgow Road, Queens Bridge and along the A85 Dundee Road.

Lane two on both carriageways will then shut from 7.30pm on Saturday June 28 until 6.30am on Sunday .

Friarton Bridge will close southbound from 7.30pm on Sunday June 29 until 6.30am on Monday, when the work is scheduled to conclude.

Southbound traffic will also be diverted via Perth city centre during the closure.

The hard shoulder of the southbound carriageway will be shut for the duration of the works.

Amey, which is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, says the work will help deliver better maintenance and management of the bridge.
